First Interstate Properties has plans for 95,800 square feet of new retail space surrounding Walmart, which was protested by residents and has been a source of rampant theft since its opening in 2014. A strip including T.J. Maxx/HomeGoods, Famous Footwear, and four other parcels will be built adjacent to Walmart at the back of the site. Three new out-parcels will sit along Warrensville Center Road. One of those out-parcels will house Moe's, a fast-casual Mexican restaurant, AT&T and another 1,450-square-foot space that has yet to be rented out, according to broker Goodman Real Estate's website. Neither Goodman nor First Interstate could be reached for comment. First Interstate bought the former Oakwood Country Club space in 2012 and sold it to Walmart.
