Regency has secured a lease with The Fresh Market to anchor the development at the intersection of North Druid Hills and Briarcliff Roads, as the specialty grocer's thirteenth Georgia location. “The redevelopment of the former Loehmann’s Plaza signals a fresh start for this center,” Andre Koleszar, Vice President and Regional Officer at Regency, said in the announcement. “We are excited about the new direction we’re taking with the unique and vibrant addition for the North Druid Hills neighborhood.” The Fresh Market will occupy the 24,400-square-foot space formerly belonging to Loehmann's, joining a tenant mix that includes Panera Bread, Starbucks, and Zoe’s Kitchen. The center has over 62,000 square feet of available space, according to Regency's website. Additional tenants to the center will be announced as deals are signed, according to the announcement. The center is getting an "innovative look" with improved facades and signage as well as aesthetic upgrades that include LED lighting for better visibility and lower energy consumption.

For example, anchor store J.C. Black Friday hours are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Stony Point. Southpark Mall is officially closed, but not really. Individual retailers like Dick’s and J.C. Penney’s will be open the same hours as they are at the other malls. On Black Friday, Southpark opens at 6 a.m. and operates with extended hours. Virginia Center Commons will be open from 6 p.m. – 1 a.m. Thanksgiving Day and re-open on Black Friday from 6 a.m. – 10 p.m. Extended hours will continue throughout the holiday shopping season. Willow Lawn Mall is closed but some retailers will be open. Old Navy opens at 4 p.m. and stays open until Black Friday evening. Retailers also have individual start times on Black Friday.

Locally, Walmart, Dollar General, Walgreens, Big Lots and Bass Pro Shops have the longest hours Thanksgiving hours. Walmart stays open 24 hours, but their deals don’t start until later Thanksgiving day and again on Black Friday morning. Bass Pro will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving and will reopen on Black Friday, with hours from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Big Lots is open from 7 a.m. to midnight on Thanksgiving. Retailers like Belk’s, Best Buy, CVS, Kohl’s, Macy’s, Stein Mart, Target, Toys R Us, and ULTA open Thanksgiving evening. Some of the retailers who have chosen to close are A.C.
