This Way: The pop-up shop opened April 1 at the Camp retail campus in Costa Mesa. The shop is located in a converted camping trailer parked outside of Seeds. SwimSpot: The Tustin-based swimsuit retailer opened a flagship store April 3 at Fashion Island.
Nordstrom Rack: A new store opened April 16 at The Center Ranch at Rancho Niguel in Laguna Niguel. Butterfli Me Makeup Studio: The makeup studio opened in May in Irvine at 2646 Dupont Drive, Suite 65. Round 1 Bowling & Amusement: Westfield MainPlace in Santa Ana added the game parlor May 29. 24 Hour Fitness: Westfield MainPlace in Santa Ana added the gym May 30. Ra Yoga: Castaway Commons in Newport Beach welcomed the yoga studio in September. Active Ride Shop: The pop-up shop opened June 5 at University Center. The shop is in a repurposed shipping container that’s painted with a custom mural by street artist “Shark Toof.” Address: 4100 Campus Drive in Irvine, between Blaze Pizza and Chipotle. Images Luxury Nail Lounge: The ultra luxury nail salon, which already had locations in Newport Beach and Irvine, opened an additional location June 17 in Irvine. The salon offers nail services that cost as much as $25,000. OC Goodwill Boutique: The former Classic Closet was expanded by 2,400 square feet into an OC Goodwill Boutique in Huntington Beach.
The store had its grand opening June 19. Address: 18631 Beach Blvd. Tadashi Shoji: The South Coast Plaza store opened its re-designed location on June 20. Japanese designer Tadashi Shoji makes women’s dresses and accessories. Braintastics: The Mission Viejo store, which aims to bring science and technology exposure to kids in a fun way as part of the national S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Education, Arts and Math) movement, opened in June. Address: 27741 Crown Valley Pkwy. Roche Bobois moved its Costa Mesa showroom to the South Coast Collection in July. The 8,200 square foot French Furniture store offers in store consultations. Address: 3309 Hyland Ave. Club Pilates: The Pilates franchise opened a location July 18 in Villa Park. Address: 17767 Santiago Blvd in the Villa Park Town Center. Naim Amor Salon & Spa: The spa opened July 21 in The District in Tustin. It offers hair, nails, waxing, facials and spa services. Address: 2837 Park Ave. OC Recycled Furniture: The company, which buys used furniture, professionally cleans it and then sells it, moved its shop to Santa Ana in August.
Address: 2110 South Yale St. in Santa Ana. A. Lange & Söhne: The luxury watchmaker opened at South Coast Plaza on Aug. 2. It is the company’s fourth U.S. boutique. A. Lange & Söhne watches are also sold at select retailers in the U.S. The 925-square-foot store is near Saks Fifth Avenue. Bella del Mar: Boutique store Bella del Mar opened Aug. 7 in Corona del Mar. The 1,500-square-foot store is not part of a chain. The clothes appeal to a beach/California casual vibe. Shirts range from $30 to $100, and jeans are $100 and up. The store address is 2828 E. Coast Highway in Corona del Mar; it replaced Sunny’s Photos. Celine: Luxury designer Celine opened a store Aug. 15 at South Coast Plaza, next to Dior near Nordstrom. Dover Saddlery: The equestrian shop opened Aug. 16 in Laguna Hills. Address: 23052 Lake Forest Drive. Goodwill: The Goodwill on Adams Street in Huntington Beach reopened Aug. 24 after remodeling its 10,500-square-foot space. Address: 9079 Adams St.
Polished Perfect: The salon opened its first location Aug. 12 in Costa Mesa. Address: 801 Baker St. Dollar Rows: Discount retailer Dollar Rows opened Aug. 29 in Orange, the second new dollar store to venture into the city this year. Address: 1536 East Katella Ave., behind Norm’s in the Tustin Katella shopping center. Savers: Savers thrift store opened a Yorba Linda location Sept. 3. Savers has more than 330 thrift store locations in North America. The Yorba Linda location, at 4848 Valley View Ave., is its third in Orange County. Rockin’ Jump: The trampoline park headquartered in Pleasanton, opened Sept. 17. It marked the company’s first Orange County location and 17th overall. Santa Ana’s Rockin’ Jump is at 1411 S. Village Way in the former REI store. Atelier 7918: Women’s retailer Atelier 7918 opened its first store Sept. 25 at Crystal Cove Shopping Center in Newport Beach. Atelier 7918’s name comes from the French word for workshop. Address: 7918 East Coast Highway.
Molly Wood: Molly Wood, The landscape and home and garden design service, opened a pop-up shop in Laguna Beach. Address: 1290 N. Coast Highway until mid-February. Fallas: A Fallas Paredes opened Oct. 3 in a former Anna’s Linens store in Santa Ana. Address: 2120 S. Bristol Street. Yogasmoga: The yoga retailer opened at Fashion Island Oct. 9. Yogasmoga offers yoga classes and the brand’s full line of men’s and women’s yoga apparel. The 2,000-square-foot store is located next to Vineyard Vines, near the Apple Store. COS: The upscale brand by H&M’s parent company, opened its first Orange County location Oct. 14. The store is in the former Mango location on the second floor of the mall, next door to H&M near Bloomingdales. Grayse: Fashion Island’s newest pop-up shop, had its grand opening Oct. 15. The store features women’s ready-to-wear pieces by the mother-daughter team of Marie and Kelly Gray. HomeGoods: Home décor retailer HomeGoods opened a new store in Irvine on Oct. 18.
HomeGoods opened another store in Orange on Nov. 19 at the Village at Orange mall. Vitra Eyewear: Just in time for the Black Friday shopping rush, Vitra Eyewear opened its first location at South Coast Plaza the week before Thanksgiving. Lavender Salon & Boutique: The Parisian-inspired spa, will open at Newport Beach’s Castaway Commons in November. Storymakery: A store that helps children create and publish their own books, had a soft opening Nov. 2 at the Irvine Spectrum. Classic Party Rentals: The party rental store debuted its remodeled 9,000-square-foot expansion Nov. 5 in Santa Ana. Ralph Lauren: The designer opened a remodeled 5,700-square-foot store Nov. 6 at South Coast Plaza. Xingli: The luggage retailer opened its first Orange County store Nov. 8 at South Coast Plaza. The store is located on the third level of the Crate and Barrel/Macy’s Home Store wing that flanks Bear Street. Seed People’s Market: Seed opened a furniture shop, Home Seed Home, inside of the Seed store at the Camp on Nov. 28.
8telier: Women’s boutique 8telier opened its first California store Dec. 1 at Corona del Mar Plaza. The House Salon: Luxury hair salon The House Salon opened Dec. 10 in Mission Viejo. Address: 23981 Alicia Pkwy., Suite 170, in Mission Viejo. The Shops at Mission Viejo: The mall opened a handful of new stores this year including Windsor Fashions, Blow Arc Dry Bar, Lush Handmade Cosmetics, 41 Olive, Lulu Bella Boutique, Ecco, Flip Flop Shops, Zumiez and a temporary American Girl store. Also new at the mall: Beauty retailer Sephora has expanded its storefront. MAC Cosmetics remodeled its store. Zales Jewelers also remodeled. Apex by Sunglasses Hut will move from a kiosk to an in-line store on the upper level. Girl Cave has moved from its previous location to near Zara. Pacific City: Huntington Beach’s new food and retail destination, Pacific City, opened Nov. 5. Since its opening, a handful of retailers have opened including West of Camden, Saavy Naturals, The Wearhouse, Cherry Hills, Chico Hats, and The Nook.
